LANCASTER, N.H. — New Hampshire authorities have indicted the stepfather of a girl who was taken out of the country a decade ago amid a custody dispute.

Scott Kelley is the second husband of Genevieve Kelley, who fled with her then-8-year-old daughter in 2004.

State officials said Monday that Scott Kelley was indicted on custodial interference and witness tampering charges, the same faced by Genevieve Kelley. The witness tampering charge says they made the girl, now 19, unavailable for a court-ordered evaluation by fleeing.

Scott Kelley was arrested Wednesday in Atlanta after he and Nunes arrived on a flight from Costa Rica. He’s scheduled to be arraigned May 11.
