Investigators said Friday that Jeffrey Pinkham, 53, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. The Medical Examiner’s Office used DNA to confirm his identity.
The Maine Fire Marshal’s Office said the cause of the fire was arson. Investigators think he started the fire early on April 24 before shooting himself in the basement of the former gas station.
