LEWISTON — Bates College and the classical music community of Maine will gather to remember the pianist Frank Glazer at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Peter J. Gomes Chapel on the Bates campus.

Glazer, an artist-in-residence at the college, died in January at age 99. He was still performing publicly when he died.

Saturday’s memorial will include musical performances and remarks by family, friends and colleagues. The memorial is open to the public, and a reception will follow in Olin Arts Center.

At the time of his death, he was planning a February concert to mark his 100th birthday.
