CUMBERLAND — Colin Coyne hit a two-run double and Colby Emmertz added a run-scoring single during a four-run fourth inning Friday that helped Falmouth pull away to a 7-1 victory against Greely in a Western Maine Conference baseball game.

The four-run inning gave Falmouth (5-1) a 5-0 lead against the Rangers (5-2).

Robbie Armitage, Patrick Horgan and Emmertz finished with two hits each for the Yachtsmen.

YORK 2, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 1: Sam Johnson hit an RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift the Wildcats (6-1) over the Patriots (3-4) at York.

Chris Neilson led off the seventh for the Wildcats with a single and advanced to third on a double by Derek Neal.

Neal had three hits, including two doubles, and scored York’s first run on a bases-loaded walk by Johnson in the first.

The Patriots tied it on a single by John Villanueva in the fourth.

Danny Bock of York struck out three and walked two in a five-hitter.

J.T. Magno scattered eight hits for the Patriots.

WELLS 7, LAKE REGION 3: Charlie Bell drove home a run in the first inning, Andrew Skeats singled home a run in the second and Michael Wrigley had an RBI during a two-run third to give Wells (5-2) a 4-1 lead against the Lakers (1-6) at Naples.

Bell added two RBI as the Warriors added single runs in three of the final four innings to make it 7-1 before Lake Region scored twice in the seventh.

BELFAST 9, MEDOMAK VALLEY 4: Drew Stanley and Alex Canning rapped two-run singles as Belfast (4-3) rallied from an early 4-0 deficit to beat Medomak Valley (2-5) at Waldoboro.

WINDHAM 6, BIDDEFORD 4: Tanner Laberge came in on a single by Timmy Greenlaw in the fifth and sixth innings as the Eagles (3-3) scored three unanswered runs to rally past the Tigers (1-4) at Windham.

Laberge and Greenlaw had two hits apiece, and freshman Mike Gilman scattered 10 hits to earn his first varsity win.

Windham scored three runs in the bottom of the first but the Tigers responded with two runs in both the third and fourth to take a 4-3 lead.

Joey Curit had three hits, including a double, and scored a run for the Tigers.

SACOPEE VALLEY 17, WAYNFLETE 0: Roderick Maynard had three hits and pitched three shutout innings to earn the win for the Hawks (5-1) against the Flyers (2-4) in five innings at Portland.

Kyle Jordan, Dana Shea and Brandon Burnell added two hits apiece for Sacopee, which broke the game open with 10 runs in the fourth.

Max Winson had a pair of hits for Waynflete.

TRAIP ACADEMY 10, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 1: Alex Foye’s two-run double in the bottom of the first inning gave the Rangers (5-1) a 2-1 lead against Old Orchard Beach (3-4) at Kittery.

Traip added a run in the third before putting the game away with a five-run fifth hightlighted by back-to-back RBI doubles by Foye and Charlie Driscoll.

OCEANSIDE 2, MORSE 0: Freshman Logan Sheridan shut out the Shipbuilders for six innings to win his first varsity start as Oceanside (5-2) downed Morse (3-4) at Bath.

Sheridan gave up two hits and one walk, and struck out seven.

Caleb Jacobs knocked in both runs for Oceanside with a two-out double in the fifth.

Morse pitcher Nick Doughty struck out 10 and allowed six hits.

ERSKINE ACADEMY 6, CAMDEN HILLS 0: Ryan Rodrigue tossed a two-hit shutout as the Eagles (3-4) downed Camden Hills (6-1) at Rockport.

LACROSSE

WESTBROOK 11, MT. ARARAT 6: Curtis Knapton had five goals and an assist as the Blue Blazes (4-1) downed Mt. Ararat (2-5) at Westbrook.

Grayson Post added two goals and two assists, and Tommy Kostopouos and Brandon Labbe scored two goals each for Westbrook.

Noah Oliver won 14 of 21 faceoffs and Alex LeBlanc had 10 saves for the Blue Blazes.
