SCARBOROUGH — Chloe Griffin went 3 for 3 with two doubles and two RBI to lead Scarborough to a 6-1 win over Sanford in a game between unbeaten SMAA softball teams Saturday.

Ashley Gleason added two hits and two RBI for Scarborough (6-0), which put the game away with a four-run sixth inning.

Lilly Volk pitched a four-hitter for the Red Storm. She struck out four and walked none.

Sanford fell to 7-1.

MCAULEY 9, CHEVERUS 0: Taylor Whaley allowed just two singles and rapped four hits to lead the visiting Lions (4-3) past Cheverus (0-7).

Anya Chase, Kim Fisher and Ashley Littlefield each had two of McAuley’s 13 hits.

LACROSSE

YORK 9, MARSHWOOD 5: Alexandra Lawlor and MacKenzie Mallett each scored three times to carry the Wildcats (4-0) past the Hawks (3-2) in York.

Kayla Kelly added two goals and Kara Kelly had one for York.

Lindsey Poirier paced Marshwood with two goals and an assist.

SCARBOROUGH 7, WAYNFLETE 4: Kaitlin Prince and Sydney Hersey scored two goals apiece, and Sami Shoebottom made 13 saves to lead Scarborough (3-1) at home against Waynflete (5-2).

CHEVERUS 10, BONNY EAGLE 8: Nicole Pineau scored all three of her goals during a 5-0 run in the second half to lead Cheverus (2-2) to a victory over the Scots (1-3) in Standish.

The Stags broke away from a 5-5 halftime tie with the first five goals of the second half.

Catherine Biegel tallied three goals for Bonny Eagle.

MT. ARARAT 11, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 5: Alison Nolan scored three goals and Eleanor Skinner made nine saves as the Eagles (5-0) beat the Panthers (2-4) at Yarmouth.

Katie Labbay, Emily Welch and Rebecca Shuman added two goals apiece.

Mary Noyes and Mel Regan each had two goals for NYA.

PORTLAND 13, CONY 7: Merritt Ryan scored seven goals as the Bulldogs (2-1) beat the Rams (0-4) in Portland.

Isabel Stehli chipped in with three goals and an assist, and Maisie Perkins had a pair of goals. Portland goalie Liz Victor finished with eight saves.

GOULD ACADEMY 19, WELLS 6: Shannon Maguire scored five goals, Brooke Kelley added four, and the Huskies (3-3) rolled past the Warriors (0-5) at Bethel.

Melodie Godin and Alyssa Loukola each scored twice for Wells.

WINSLOW 12, SANFORD 8: Sabrina Jandreau and Cassidy Roderick scored four goals apiece, and the Black Raiders (3-1) pulled away in the second half at Sanford (2-3).

Maddie Leigh scored four goals for the Spartans. Brenna Lambert added three goals and an assist.

CAPE ELIZABETH 13, GORHAM 8: Emma Landes scored six times while leading the Capers (4-1) past Gorham (2-2) in Cape Elizabeth.

Marina Pappalardo had three goals and three assists for the Rams.

LAKE REGION 18, ERSKINE ACADEMY 4: Madison Simms scored six goals and Lauren Williams added three to lead the Lakers (5-0) past the Eagles (1-3) in South China.

Lindsey Keenan, Rachel Shanks, Molly Christensen and Abby Green all scored twice.
