• Anna G. Morin, daughter of Chris and Becki Morin of Falmouth, has received an appointment to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, class of 2019, with a full tuition scholarship. She will serve five years in the Coast Guard following graduation. Morin was Nordic skate ski state champion for Class A, skimeister state champion, two-time Maine women’s double-handed sailing champion and also served as president of the National Honor Society at Falmouth High School.

• Air Force Airman 1st Class David R. Despins graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. Despins is the son of Richard Despins of Gray and is a 2014 graduate of Gray-New Gloucester High School.
