One man is dead and another man has been taken to a Bangor hospital after an incident in a Parkman house that is under investigation by Maine State Police.

David Grant, 61, was found dead in his house at 114 Packard Road, in Parkman, which is near Dexter, Tuesday night by deputies with the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Office. They were called to the house late Tuesday night and were joined by state police detectives.

The other man is being treated for serious injuries in the intensive care unit at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. Authorities did not release his name or the extent of his injuries.

Grant’s body was transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Augusta where an autopsy is underway.
