BIDDEFORD — Colin Lavigne hit a two-out, two-run single in the fourth inning, and Biddeford went on to surprise South Portland 4-3 in an SMAA baseball game Tuesday.

Lavigne’s single was part of a three-run inning that gave the Tigers (4-9) a 4-2 lead.

Casey Twomey pitched a complete game for Biddeford, giving up one earned run on five hits, striking out four and walking two.

Nick Troiano had a pair of hits and stole a base for South Portland (10-3).

MARSHWOOD 7, GORHAM 0: Zach Hodge had a two-run homer in the third inning as the Hawks (10-3) built a 5-0 lead and shut out the Rams (5-8) at South Berwick.

Zach Quintal threw four scoreless innings, allowing three singles, walking one and striking out four.

Hodge added a single and three RBI for Marshwood, and Holden Jackman, Nicholas Landis and Luke Stankovich each had a pair of hits, Landis and Stankovich lining triples.

Jordan Ward had two singles for Gorham.

SACOPEE VALLEY 19, WAYNFLETE 2: Brady Anderson had three hits, scored four runs and drove in two to pace a 15-hit offense for the Hawks (11-1) against the Flyers (3-12) in five innings at South Hiram.

Roderick Maynard added two hits, three runs and three RBI for the Hawks, and Michael Pingree finished with two hits, three RBI and two runs.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 12, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 6: Mason Beaudoin went 3 for 5 with three doubles and two RBI for the Seagulls (6-7), who used an eight-run sixth inning to break a 4-4 tie and defeat the Panthers (4-10) at Old Orchard Beach.

NYA took a 4-0 lead with a pair of runs in the first and third innings. Old Orchard countered with four in the bottom of the third.

Matt Hurley and Jon Gillis each had a pair of doubles for the Seagulls,

Brad Rockey was 2 for 4 with two doubles and two RBI for the Panthers.

MORSE 4, MEDOMAK VALLEY 0: Zack Holbrook pitched a two-hit shutout with one walk and three strikeouts to lead Morse (6-7) over Medomak Valley (5-8) at Bath.

The Shipbuilders scored two runs in the first inning on RBI singles from Andrew LaCavera and Trevor Drouin. Morse added two in the third on a base hit by Keegan McDonough and a double from Holbrook.

OCEANSIDE 11, LINCOLN ACADEMY 1: Nick Mazurek had a pair of home runs and three RBI as the Mariners (11-2) handled the Eagles (6-7) in five innings at Waldoboro.

Thomas Curtis hit a leadoff homer to spark a five-run fifth inning for Oceanside.

Travis Creamer had an RBI double for Lincoln Academy.

DEERING 11, SANFORD 1: Pat Viola had a single and triple, and drove in four runs to lead Deering (9-5) over Sanford (2-11) in five innings at Portland.

Orey Dutton added three RBI, including a two-run single in the eight-run fifth that ended the game.

BONNY EAGLE 1, SCARBOROUGH 0: Lane Poirier hit a bloop single to center field with two outs and two strikes in the seventh inning to push across the only run as Bonny Eagle (10-4) defeated Scarborough (6-7) at Standish.

Troy Bogdhan scored as a pinch runner. Bogdahn was also the winning pitcher, giving up four hits and two walks, striking out three.

ERSKINE ACADEMY 7, MT. VIEW 1: Zack Glidden went six innings, allowing one run and three hits, striking out four as the Eagles (9-4) downed Mt. View (4-9) at South China.

Ryan Rodrigue paced Erskine with two singles and three RBI, Caleb Cummings had two hits and Nate Howard drove in two with a single.

Nathan Wren had two hits, including a double, for Mt. View.

SEARSPORT 3, RICHMOND 0: Troy Reynolds struck out 14 to help the Vikings (9-2) defeat Ricmond (12-2) at Searsport.

Reynolds allowed two hits and walked four. Mike Stewart of Richmond gave up one earned run on four hits, striking out 12 and walking five. Zach Small had a double for the Bobcats.

GARDINER 5, MAINE CENTRAL INSTITUTE 1: Nic Berube had an RBI double and struck out four of the five hitters he faced after taking over in the sixth inning as the Tigers (10-3) beat MCI (3-10) at Pittsfield.
