School Vaccination Exemption Rates

The map and database below show the percentage of kindergarten and first-grade students in Maine schools in the fall of 2015 who were not vaccinated because of a parent’s religious or philosophical beliefs. An immunization rate for the measles shot (MMR) is also listed. Immunization rates are generally likely to be even lower because of additional factors, such as medical exemptions, delays in vaccinations or a lack of documentation. Click on the dots to obtain rates for a particular school, or use the search field above the database. This feature will be updated periodically as new data comes available.
