A man suffered a non-life-threatening injury when he was stabbed shortly after noon Tuesday in Portland, police said.

The stabbing occurred in the vicinity of 159 Oxford St.

Police were looking for the attacker, described as a black man about 30 years old, 6 feet tall with a thin build, short dreadlocks, and wearing a black hoodie with white lettering and black pants, according to Portland Police Lt. James Sweatt.

The victim was taken to a hospital where he was expected to get stitches and be released, Sweatt said.
