CUMBERLAND — Marshall Peterson pitched a four-hit shutout Wednesday to lead Cape Elizabeth to a 3-0 victory against Greely in a Western Maine Conference baseball game.

Peterson struck out three and walked one for the Capers (11-5) against the Rangers (11-5).

Cape Elizabeth opened the scoring on a two-run single by Matt Riggle in the second inning. Tim Brigham added an RBI single in the fifth.

Riggle finished with a pair of singles for the Capers.

OCEANSIDE 6, MEDOMAK VALLEY 1: Nick Mazurek drove in three runs to pace Oceanside (14-2) over Medomak Valley (6-10) at Waldoboro.

Oceanside starter Ryan Allender gave up one hit through three innings, then relievers Logan Sheridan and Mazurek held the Panthers hitless the rest of the way.

FALMOUTH 5, POLAND 3: Cal Inlow drove in the go-ahead run with a sacrifice fly in the fifth inning, breaking a 3-3 tie, and the Yachtsmen (10-6) went on to defeat Poland (5-11) at Falmouth.

The Knights scored three runs in the third to take a 3-2 lead. Colby Emmertz hit an RBI single in the fourth to tie it. The Yachtsmen added a run in the sixth,

Cam Guarino pitched a two-hitter with seven strikeouts and two walks for Falmouth.

TRAIP ACADEMY 8, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 2: Josh Schneier singled home Shane MacNeill, then scored on Alex Foye’s suicide squeeze as Traip Academy (9-7) scored twice in the fifth inning to take a 3-2 lead against the Seagulls (6-10) at Old Orchard Beach.

Schneier added a two-run single during a five-run sixth.

KENNEBUNK 6, YARMOUTH 0: Eric Aiken had eight strikeouts and no walks while throwing a four-hitter for the Rams (11-5) against the Clippers (8-8) at Kennebunk.

Ben Lary hit a two-run single during a three-run second inning that gave the Rams a 4-0 lead, and Sam Heikkinen drove in a pair of runs on a single and a sacrifice fly.

The Rams, who added two runs in the sixth, also got three hits and a walk from Richie Platt.

Yarmouth’s lone repeat hitter was Cody Cook with two singles.

WELLS 4, YORK 2: Dan Quint’s single in the second inning drove in the go-ahead run and the Warriors (10-6) went on to defeat York (12-4) at Wells.

After Shawn Ramsey provided a two-run single for Wells in the first, the Wildcats tied it in the top of the second on an RBI double by Chris Neilson and a run-scoring fielder’s choice.

Cody Cousins of Wells struck out three, walked two and allowed five hits.

THORNTON ACADEMY 1, SCARBOROUGH 0: Ben Lambert struck out six with no walks in a three-hitter as the Trojans (11-5) defeated Scarborough (7-9) at Saco.

Sam Warren of Scarborough allowed two hits with four walks and five strikeouts.

In the second inning, Evan Balzano singled, Conor Purvis walked and Justin Campbell-Cloutier was hit by a pitch to load the bases for Thornton. Josh LePauloue then walked on a 3-and-1 pitch for the only run of the game.

SACOPEE VALLEY 12, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 1: C.J. Dunnells launched a grand slam during a nine-run second inning and added an RBI single in a three-run fourth as the Hawks (15-1) beat the Panthers (4-12) in five innings at South Hiram.

Gino Ricardo had two hits and two RBI, and Mike Pingree scored three times for Sacopee.

Haven Cutko had both of the Panthers’ hits.

GORHAM 1, SOUTH PORTLAND 0: Sam Kilborn took a no-hitter into the eighth inning, pitching the Rams (8-8) to an extra-inning victory over South Portland (12-4) at Gorham.

Samuel Solomon’s one-out single in the top of the eighth was the Red Riots’ only hit. Kilborn induced a comebacker to the mound and a fly to center to end the threat.

Gorham won it in the bottom of the inning. Andrew Schmidt rapped a one-out single and went to third on Gerek Brown’s double.

With two outs, an infield pop was dropped as the winning run scored.

WINTHROP 4, MADISON 1: Ben Caprara had two singles with an RBI to lead the Ramblers (14-2) to a victory over Madison (8-8) at Winthrop.

WESTBROOK 16, DEERING 12: Ryan Shackley and Grayson Post scored four goals apiece to lead the Blue Blazes (9-3) over Deering (4-8) at Westbrook.

Post also provided four assists.

Andrew Johnson and Nate Richards both scored five goals for the Rams.

WINDHAM 21, MASSABESIC 7: Zack Callahan and Zach Hough scored five goals apiece for the Eagles (8-4) against the Mustangs (0-12) at Windham.

Callahan also collected six assists, and Brian Kelley added three goals and one assist for Windham.

Brandon St. Laurent scored five goals for Massabesic.

PORTLAND 11, MARSHWOOD 9: D.J. Cooper scored the go-ahead goal in the final minutes to break a 9-9 tie and lift the Bulldogs (6-6) over the Hawks (1-11) at South Berwick.

Robert Nolan and Brady Green finished with three goals each, and Cooper added a pair of goals for Portland.

Troy Stevens scored six goals, and Hanssen Casey added one goal and four assists for the Hawks.

CHEVERUS 8, THORNTON ACADEMY 7: James Kane had three goals and two assists to lead the Stags (7-5) over Thornton Academy (9-3) at Portland.

Tom Lawson added two goals and an assist for Cheverus. Zach Bryant scored three times, and Isaac Sinclair had a goal and an assist for the Trojans.

BRUNSWICK 26, MORSE 3: Ryan Croatti finished with six goals, Cameron Glover scored four, and Matt Brooks had three goals and two assists for the Dragons (12-0) in a win against the Shipbuilders (6-6) at Brunswick.
