Authorities continued searching Monday afternoon after issuing an arrest warrant charging a Piscataquis County man with murder in connection with the death of his ex-girlfriend.

Police have been tracking Robert Burton, 38, of Parkman, whom they describe as armed and dangerous, since Stephanie Ginn Gebo, 37, of Kulas Road, was found dead by her two children on Friday.

Police focused their search in Monson, Guilford and Parkman, according to a news release by Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety.

Police found Burton’s black Toyota Tacoma pickup truck on Bridge Road in Parkman on Monday. A forest ranger on Monday found a Chevrolet pickup truck that Burton is suspected of taking sometime Sunday from Herrick Construction in Guilford. The Chevrolet was stuck in mud on North Guilford Road in Monson.

Police recommend that residents in the area lock their homes and vehicles and call police immediately if they see Burton. Information about Burton can be reported to the state police in Bangor at 973-3700 or 911 from a cellphone.
