TruChoice Federal Credit Union is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of individuals responsible for the May 26 robbery of the credit union.

The credit union at 272 Park Ave. was robbed by a single suspect who showed a black handgun and demanded money. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and was last seen running up Forest Avenue toward Congress Street carrying a small dark bag. No employees or customers were injured during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5-foot-10 to 6 feet tall, with a thin build, wearing oversized glasses, a fake mustache, and a dark Afro-style wig. He wore a white hat, dark suit, light-colored shirt, striped tie and black shoes.

The FBI is assisting in the investigation.

Anyone who has information regarding the robbery is encouraged to call the Portland Police Department Detective Division at 874-8533.
