Alexis Mazurek had three hits, including a double, as fourth-seeded Oceanside used a five-run third inning to build a six-run lead then held on for a 7-6 win over 13th-ranked Mt. Desert Island in an Eastern Class B softball prelim at Rockland.

Oceanside (14-3) opened the scoring in the bottom of the second inning on a solo homer by Kalyn Grover, who finished with two hits. Lauren Miller also had a pair of hits for Oceanside and scored the eventual winning run on a wild pitch after leading off the fourth inning with a single.

Avolon Kerley had two hits and drove in one run for Mt. Desert Island (6-10).
