NORTH CONWAY, N.H. — New Hampshire Fish and Game officers say a 25-year-old man is recovering after he fell about 50 feet while rock climbing in North Conway.

Officers said 25-year-old Nicholas Mozdzierz of Somerville, Massachusetts, was leading a climb at Cathedral Ledge when he started having difficulty on the route Sunday afternoon. He was attempting to climb down when he fell.

Mozdzierz was initially unconscious but regained consciousness and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Officers said he was wearing a helmet and did not suffer any life-threatening injuries.
