High school teams in The Current’s coverage area will have a busy weekend having earned berths in several state championship games.
Here’s a rundown of all the action involving local teams happening Saturday, June 20, in Portland and Augusta:
At Fitzpatrick Stadium in Portland, the South Portland boys lacrosse team takes on Brunswick for the Class A title starting at 10 a.m.
At 3:30 p.m. at Fitzy, Cape Elizabeth boys lacrosse plays Yarmouth for the Class B crown.
At Cony High School in Augusta, the 19-0 Scarborough softball team plays Messalonskee for the Class A title starting at noon.
At 3 p.m., the South Portland baseball team plays Bangor for the Class A title starting at 3 p.m.
