Thornton Academy’s Bailey Tremblay, Gardiner’s Kristal Smith and Cony’s Arika Brochu were named finalists on Thursday for the Miss Maine Softball award, given to the state’s outstanding senior player each year.

All three are pitchers. The winner will be announced between the Senior East-West all-star games at Cony High in Augusta on June 25. The C/D game will be at 4 p.m. and the A/B game will be at 7 p.m.

Tremblay went 14-2 for the Trojans in the regular season with a 2.01 ERA, 130 strikeouts and 22 walks. She also batted .547 with four home runs, 24 RBI and 11 runs scored.

Brochu was 11-3 in the regular season with a 1.01 ERA and batted .604 with five home runs. Smith was 15-0 and batted .607 with six home runs.
