Disgust and dismay are what I feel that our governor meddled in Rep. Mark Eves’ employment. I find such behavior unforgivable and it is hoped that Rep. Eves pursues legal action against him.
The governor’s belief that the people of Maine are behind him is erroneous. Those who fear him and his tactics might say they agree with his behavior but under what duress?
The governor’s statements about Eves and charter schools, as I recall, are incorrect. I don’t remember Eves saying he was against them. To say that Eves isn’t qualified for the position is disgraceful. Is it because he stood up for those he represents, or because he is able to have discussions and work with people with differing views?
Hopefully, this issue will be taken to court and bullying tactics shown to be what they are – pathetic!
