The Ingrid Michaelson show scheduled for Thompson’s Point in Portland Sunday has been moved to the State Theatre.

The indie pop singer was to kick off the first show at the new outdoor waterfront venue. Organizers said the winds, with gusts up to 35 mph, forced them to move the show to the State Theatre on Congress Street.

“The artist and State Theatre explored all options for this show including relocating, rescheduling and cancellation. Moving the show to the State Theatre was the only viable option short of cancellation,” said a post on the Thompson’s Point Facebook page.

Organizers said Thompson’s Point tickets will be valid for the State Theatre show.

Organizers said capacity at the State Theatre is limited. Once the capacity is reached the doors will close. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 6:20 p.m.

The organizers said refunds will be given to any guest who requests a refund and to any guest who does not gain admission to the show due to the limited capacity. Refunds are available at point of purchase.
