LYMAN — A special election will be held Sept. 8 for two seats on the town’s budget committee.

Nomination papers are available at Town Hall, and must be completed and returned by 4 p.m. on July 27.

One seat is a two-year term, the other a one-year term.

The seats opened up when former budget committee members John Houy and Jeffrey Demers were recently elected to the board of selectmen.

At the June election, Bradley Nikel and David Dulong were elected to the budget committee. Dulong was one of three write-in candidates who tied for an open position with two votes. The other two write-in candidates, Ed and Carol Lambert, withdrew from the race, said Town Clerk Pauline Weiss.
