The Biddeford Little League minors division softball team finished off an undefeated District 4 tournament by beating Arundel 20-0 in the championship game Thursday.

It is the second year in a row that the team of nine- and 10-year-olds won the disctrict title. The repeat came on the back of a 5-0 record in tournament play, which saw Biddeford outscore its opponents 81-4 over the five games.

The Tigers were equally strong in the circle and at the plate. Starting pitcher Charlotte Donovan struck out 50 of the 60 batters she faced, including four no-hitters. She allowed just two hits and five walks combined in the tournament.

In the championship game victory Laura Perreault went 4-for-4 and Baylor Wilkinson (below) hit two doubles and a triple. Both Perreault and Donovan batted .825 for the tournament.

Biddeford now advances to the state tournament, which begins July 17 in Ellsworth.
