A Texas man was arrested July 1 on a charge of unlawful sexual contact involving a child in Westport, in Lincoln County, according to a release from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department on Tuesday.
Stacy Parker, 37, of Little Elm, Texas, was arrested by the Little Elm Police Department on an arrest warrant obtained by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, stemming from an incident on Westport Island in 2010.
Authorities investigated an allegation of sexual abuse of a 7-year-old child in Westport over an extended period of time in 2010. Parker was a friend of the victim’s family.
Parker was extradited from Texas and is being held at Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset on $25,000 cash bail. He has a Sept. 14 court date.
