ACADIA NATIONAL PARK — Authorities say a woman sustained life-threatening injuries after her SUV backed over her at Acadia National Park in Maine.
WLBZ-TV reports the 38-year-old woman and her family were out of the vehicle on Park Loop Road around 11:30 a.m. Monday when it started rolling backward.
The Belmont, Massachusetts, woman tried to stop it, and that’s when the SUV rolled over her upper torso.
She was taken to Trenton Airport and airlifted to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.
Her identity has not been released.
