FREEPORT — Mark T. Ormsby, 57, died July 17 as a result of a motorcycle accident.

Ormsby grew up working in the Falcon Restaurant, alongside his siblings. Later, he worked for many years as a long-haul trucker. He recently came off the road in order to spend more time with his family.

His greatest love was spending time with his grandchildren, whether he was watching their sporting events, taking them to a movie, or sharing breakfast with them.

Ormsby was predeceased by his brother, Jim Ormsby; his nephew, Bill Ormsby; and his stepmother, Ann Long Ormsby.

He is survived by his three children: Tenaj Ormsby, Joshua Ormsby and his wife, Melissa, and Kaylin and her husband, Joey Knox. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Sean Mitchell, Hayden Mitchell, Walter Ormsby, Lexie Libby and Logan Knox; his parents, Jeannette Saucier and her husband, Richard, and William Ormsby and his friend, Ola Terrell; his siblings Nola Ormsby and her partner, Robert Hampton, Jon Ormsby and his wife, Donna, Claire Levesque and her husband, Paul, and Celeste Tamburello and her husband, Joe; his stepbrothers, Chris Long, Marc Long, and Mike Long and his wife, Sara; his nieces, Renee Ormsby, Sasha Hampton and Gianna Tamburello; and his nephew, Sal Tamburello.

Visitation was held July 23 at Brackett Funeral Home, in Brunswick. A memorial service followed on July 24 at the First Congregational Church, in Pownal.
