TOPSHAM — Recently, a Maine basketball team made up of several state standouts competed in a handful of showcase tournaments.

Overall, the team finished 15-4 in July.

At the Springfield Hall of Fame Nationals in Massachusetts, the team went 3- 1. Mt. Ararat High School standout Shyheim Ulrickson had a 28-point game during the tournament. Ulrickson and Hampden Academy’s Nick Gilpin were named to the All- Tournament team.

In another tournament, the team went 4- 1, with wins over a team from New Jersey when Ulrickson had 27 points and seven assists.

In the King of Prussia Tournament, the Maine team downed a squad from Sweden, lost to the DC Blue Devils and defeated the Crusader Nation from Maryland. In the loss, Ulrickson scored 22 points, and followed that up with a 15- point ef fort in the win over Maryland.

In all, Ulrickson averaged 15 points.

Ulrickson will be a senior for the Eagles this season.
