
Below is information for Brunswick, Mt. Ararat and Freeport student/athletes.
Brunswick
Dragons co-curricular director Jef f Ramich has released fall practice information.
Cheerleaders will meet at 6 p.m. in the cafeteria (a change from the original 5:30 p.m. slot), while the cross country squad practices the first two weeks beginning at 8 a. m. from the amphitheater.
Field hockey meets in the weight room on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7 a.m., hits the field each day from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., and again from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Boys and girls soccer has a busy slate. Beginning Monday, the boys soccer team converges on Crimmins Field from 8-10 a.m., and again from 4-6 p.m., while the girls practice on Gardner Field each day from 4-7 p.m.
Lastly, the football team begins preparations for the season on Monday as well. Upperclassmen linemen meet from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., while skill positions are on the field from 9-11 a.m. Everyone practices from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Freshmen meet from 3-5 p.m. From August 24-27, the team practices from 8-10 a.m., and again from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Mt. Ararat
Eagles football practices will be held on the practice field near the tennis courts from 8 a. m. to 10: 25 a. m., and again from 3: 55 p. m. to 6: 10 p. m., beginning on Monday.
Boys soccer meets at Woodside Elementary School from 7-9 a.m., and from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., while girls soccer hits the high school practice field from 4- 6 p.m.
Field hockey players have two practices per day, the first from 8-11 a.m., with the second from 5 p. m. to 6: 30 p. m. on the field hockey field.
Golf athletes are asked to meet at Highland Green Golf Course at 8: 30 a. m. on Monday, while cross country runners will get together behind the high school gymnasium and practice from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Also, cheerleaders will practice at a time to be announced.
All student/ athletes are reminded that fall paperwork packets are available for pick-up in the main office at the high school or can be downloaded from the Athletics tab on the High School website. Student/athletes must complete all paperwork and have a current physical on file in the Athletic Department before they are allowed to participate.

Freeport
A required Preseason Information Night takes place for parents and athletes on Thursday at 7 p.m. The meeting takes place in the FPAC at the high school.
On Monday, boys soccer kicks off for all grades at 7:30 a.m. on the high school soccer field. The first practice runs until 11 a.m. On Tuesday and Aug. 19, practices take place from 8-11 a.m., and beginning on Aug. 20 the varsity will practice from 8-11 a.m., with the junior varsity from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Girls soccer also begins on Monday, with the first practice running from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on the high school soccer field. Players must present all medical paperwork and forms from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. From August 18-21, the team will practice from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Field hockey practices on the field hockey field all week from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., and the cross country squad meets from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on the front lawn of the high school. Golfers are asked to be at Freeport Country Club at 3:30 p.m. A reminder that golfers must be in the proper golf attire. And, cheerleaders practice 4-6 p.m. in the high school cafe.
The football team’s first event comes on Sunday with “Equipment Night.” Players are asked to use the back door of the high school gym beginning at 6 p.m. The first week practice schedule at Pownal Recreation Field is 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and again from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. There is an away scrimmage at Boothbay on Aug. 24, and the Falcons host Morse at 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 29.
All football athletes must have a signed contract and a physician form, concussion sign-off form and an impact permission form in order to draw equipment.
