Thumbs up to Maine Healthy Beaches and its volunteers, John Bird and the other members of the Old Orchard Beach Conservation Commission, and the town of Old Orchard Beach for efforts to monitor pollution in Goosefare Brook.

Thumbs up to Martin’s Point Health Care for opening its new practice on Barra Road in Biddeford. Keeping health care facilities like this one in Biddeford is essential to the expansion of the city. For example, nearly 100 apartment buildings will be added to the Lincoln Mill in the next two years, bringing hundreds of residents to the city who will need access to nearby health care.
