Regular church services will resume at the Sanford Unitarian Universalist Church, 5 Lebanon Street in Sanford, on Sunday, Sept. 13 at 10:30 a.m. On that day, congregants will gather to celebrate and reconnect with the annual Water Celebration and Ingathering Service, with worship associates officiating. The waters collected over the summer will be mingled. This past year, the church’s “holy” water was used at funerals and memorial services, weddings and services of union, for child dedications and for special blessings and other rites of passage.
