Westbrook police are looking for a man who has visited two banks in downtown Westbrook in recent days without performing any transactions.

On Thursday, Aug. 20, at about 11:10 a.m., the male entered TD Bank on Main Street in Westbrook wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with what appeared to be a white surgical mask covering his face. Staff at the bank asked him to remove the mask, and he replied that he “was sick.” He then left the bank.

On Monday at about 11:40 a.m. police say someone who appeared to be the same male entered Ocean Communities Credit Union on William Clarke Drive in Westbrook wearing the same hoodie and surgical mask. The suspect entered the bank and then immediately walked out.

The suspect appears to be about 5 feet 10 inches tall, of medium build, with brown hair, a Samuel Adams baseball hat, a gray hoodie and possibly several missing front teeth.

Westbrook police asks anyone with information about the male to contact the department at 207-584-2531.
