Regarding all the chit-chat, both pro and con, about raising the minimum wage in Portland, here’s the bottom line: Any business that cannot afford to pay all of its employees a basic living wage doesn’t deserve to stay in business.
‘Nuff said.
P.S. If I were ever to run for public office, my campaign slogan would be “A Return to Common Sense” – something that seems to be in short supply among most of our elected officials (our present president excluded).
