CHARLESTON — Angie Jones scored from Megan Smith with a minute remaining Friday, and Greater Portland Christian School ended a 42-game girls’ soccer losing streak with a 3-2 victory against Highview Christian.

Clarissa Jones and Erin Robinson also scored for Greater Portland Christian (1-2) against Highview (0-1). Kaitlyn Dube and Courtney Spaulding provided assists.

WESTBROOK 5, NOBLE 3: Mikayla VanZandt had a pair of goals for the Blue Blazes (1-2), who pulled away in the second half to defeat the Knights (0-3) at North Berwick.

VanZandt and Reilley Joyce scored for Westbrook, and Tyler Chastney and Bri Armenta answered for Noble as the teams went to halftime at 2-2.

Gabbie Hansen had a second-half goal for the Knight, before Janessa Corbett scored on a penalty kick, and VanZandt and Julia Martel scored for the Blazes to make it 5-3.

Summer Smith had 12 saves for Noble. Kelsey Cavanaugh stopped six shots for Westbrook.

MARSHWOOD 2, THORNTON ACADEMY 1: Reagan Nichols scored with 7:56 remaining as the Hawks (3-0) topped the Golden Trojans (2-1) at Saco.

Natalie Herbold gave Marshwood a 1-0 lead from Marin Smith, who fed a cross for a shot from 6 yards with 17 minutes left in the first half.

Hannah McAlary answered for Thornton on a penalty kick with 11 minutes remaining in the game.

Emily Robida stopped five shots for the Hawks. Lexi Nason had eight saves for the Trojans.

WAYNFLETE 3, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 1: Ava Farrar scored the first of her two goals with just under 10 minutes left to break a 1-1 tie and lift the Flyers (2-0) over the Raiders (1-2) at Fryeburg.

Waynflete led 1-0 at halftime behind a goal from Beata Vest.

Oriagna Inirio tied it midway through the second half.

SACOPEE VALLEY 10, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 0: Olivia Ridley had two goals and three assists to lead the Hawks (3-0) past the Panthers (0-3) at South Hiram.

McKenzie Murphy and Courtney Ryan each added a pair of goals, and Morgan Carpenter had a goal and three assists.

Lindsay Tufts had 12 saves for NYA. Anna Manchester and Madison Day combined for two saves for Sacopee.

GREELY 4, FALMOUTH 2: Anna DeWolfe scored a pair of goals for the Rangers (3-0), who built a 4-1 lead in the second half and held off the Yachtsmen (2-1) at Falmouth.

Isabelle Hutnak and Ellie Schad also scored for Greely, which led 2-1 at halftime.

Amelia Waite and Tyler Spence scored for Falmouth.

CHEVERUS 4, MASSABESIC 2: Katie Gordon had a pair of goals as the Stags (1-2) downed the Mustangs (0-3) at Waterboro.

Emily Turner and Gordon had first-half goals for Cheverus. Krista Hendrix countered with a goal from Kailey Daigle for Massabesic.

Gordon’s second goal of the game in the 58th minute extended the Stags’ lead to 3-1.

Skylar Renaud scored on a free kick in the 73rd minute for the Mustangs, but Meredith Cilley scored on a rebound six minutes later to close the scoring.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 4, LAKE REGION 2: Sara Giggey had a pair of goals and an assist for the Patriots (1-2), who built an early lead and held off the Lakers (1-2) at Naples.

Laurel Thomas added a pair of goals and Jen Sutherland had an assist for Gray-New Gloucester.

Kristen Huntress scored twice for Lake Region.

Jen Sutherland stopped three shots for the Patriots. Madison Rock had four saves for Lake Region.

WINDHAM 2, PORTLAND 0: Maggie Lloyd opened the scoring from Caitlyn Winn in the 13th minute and added an assist with 12 minutes remaining in the game to lead the Eagles (3-0) past the Bulldogs (2-1) at Portland.

Ciera Berthiaume scored the second goal.

Taylor Crosby finished with 16 saves for Portland.

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 10, WISCASSET 0: Haley Fletcher scored four goals to lead the Mustangs (2-0) over the Wolverines (0-2) at Monmouth.

Sarah Scott scored three goals for Monmouth. Sidney Wilson, Tia Day and Taylor Spadafora also scored.

Mikayla Cameron had four saves to earn the shutout.

Lindsay Gordon had 29 saves for Wiscasset.

FIELD HOCKEY

SACOPEE VALLEY 6, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 0: Abigail Mosson had two goals and two assists as the Hawks (4-0) rolled past the Seagulls (0-3) at Old Orchard Beach.

Jenny Cobb had three saves for Old Orchard.

SCARBOROUGH 3, GORHAM 1: Victoria Timm, Lily Nygren and Liz Callahan scored for the Red Storm (4-0), who used two second-half goals to pull away from the Rams (0-4) at Scarborough.

Erin Esty of Gorham scored from Jamie Juskiewicz to make it 1-1 in the first half.

Cara Reynolds collected a pair of assists for the Red Storm.

VOLLEYBALL

FALMOUTH 3, WINDHAM 1: Julia Treadwell and Lydia Farmer combined for 12 kills as the Yachtsmen (4-0) defeated the Eagles (1-2) at Falmouth.

Amanda Watson had 23 assists and Madi Tait added 36 digs as Falmouth won 25-19, 20-25, 25-17, 25-21.
