SANFORD — Jason Vadnais and Logan Magnant each shot a 46 to help lead Biddeford to a victory over Sanford in an SMAA golf match at Sanford Country Club Thursday.

Vadnais and Magnant shared low medalist honors for the Tigers, who also got a 48 from Kerry Crepeau.

Joey Burnham carded a team-low 47 for the Spartans.

Biddeford won the team medal, 244-274.

MARSHWOOD 7, MASSABESIC 6

ARUNDEL — Marshwood’s team effort nudged the Hawks ahead of host Massabesic in an SMAA golf match at Dutch Elm Golf Club Thursday.

The two teams split the individual matches down the middle, so Thursday’s match came down to the team scores, which Marshwood (2-1) took 236-247. The Hawks were led by a 45 from Tucker Etro and a 46 from Baili Lontine-Kearson.

The Mustangs (2-1) got key wins from Caleb Roy (45) and Nate Binette (46), who each won their matches by one stroke.

GREELY 9.5, THORNTON ACADEMY 3.5

SACO — Aidan Roberts tied for the match-low with a round of 36 and all six of Greely’s players shot 40 or under as the Rangers downed the host Trojans in a Class A golf match at Biddeford-Saco Country Club Thursday.

Greely (4-0) also got wins from Sam Burgoyne, Tate Porter and Joe Piwowarksi and the Rangers edged out the Trojans for the team medal with a 191-192 advantage.

Hashilla Rivai carded a 36 as well to split low-medalist honors with Roberts. Noah Jacques shot a 39 to also earn points for Thornton (3-1).
