Russell Lamour Jr. of Portland will face Thomas Falowo of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, on Nov. 14 at the Portland Expo in a rematch of their New England middleweight title fight.
Falowo (13-3) won a unanimous decision Jan. 30 when the boxers met in an eight-round match at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut – the only loss of Lamour’s 12-1 professional career. They appeared together Monday at a news conference at the Expo.
The Lamour-Falowo match will headline a card of pro and amateur fights sponsored by the Portland Boxing Club. The show also will feature New England super bantamweight champion Jorge Abiague, undefeated middleweight Jason Quirk and undefeated super welterweight Casey Kramlich. Boxing Hall of Famer Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini will be a special guest of honor at the event.
