Three well-known chefs will lead cooking classes in October at Mirabelle House, a private estate at 200 Woodville Road in Falmouth.
Shannon Bard, chef and owner of Zapoteca in Portland, will teach a “how to” on Mexican street food, such as empanadas and tamales. The class runs from 11 a.m to 4 p.m. and costs $200, which includes equipment, ingredients, refreshments, lunch, a recipe book, an “edible keepsake” and wine.
On Oct. 17, Cara Stadler, chef and co-owner of Tao Yuan in Brunswick and Bao Bao Dumpling House in Portland, will teach how to make buns and dumplings in a program on Asian pushcart food. The class is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and costs $200.
Celebrity chef Michele Ragussis will lead a culinary immersion weekend, with a focus on tapas and cheesemaking on Oct. 23-25. The price ranges from $700-800, depending on the package. The cost includes a welcome dinner, deluxe accommodations, breakfast, classes, supplies, ingredients, recipe book and “take home edible keepsakes.”
