WINDHAM — Ciera Berthiaume scored three first-half goals Wednesday night to lead Windham to a 4-1 victory against Cheverus in an SMAA schoolgirl soccer game.

Maggie Symonds added two assists for Windham (7-0).

Emily Turner of Cheverus (2-3) scored after 13 minutes to cut the deficit to 2-1. Emily Kent of Windham scored the only second-half goal.

THORNTON ACADEMY 4, NOBLE 0: Cassidy Cochrane and Hannah Niles scored two goals apiece to lead Thornton Academy (4-2) over Noble (0-6) at North Berwick.

Cochrane scored twice in the first 10 minutes. The first goal was unassisted, the second from Faith Sinclair. Niles scored off a corner kick from Adia Beaudoin with 1:25 left in the first half, then scored again with 27 minutes remaining from Cochrane.

Lexi Nason made four saves for the shutout. Breanna Frye and Megan Bataran combined for 13 saves for Noble.

SCARBOROUGH 4, MCAULEY 0: Sophia Zidow broke a scoreless tie in the first half and Scarborough (5-0-1) shut out McAuley (0-5) at Portland.

The Red Storm added second-half goals from Mary Farnkoff, Gabby Panagakos and Lauren Sabatino.

Chelsea Reardon finished with 12 saves for McAuley.

SOUTH PORTLAND 2, BIDDEFORD 1: Paige Fleming headed in a cross from Ingrid Boyce with seven seconds left in overtime to lift the Red Riots (2-4) over the Tigers (1-5) at Biddeford.

Callie O’Brien also scored and Zoe Brown stopped 12 shots for the Red Riots.

Missy Huot scored from Ailaina Keely and Anna Marie Seiler made 14 saves for Biddeford.

WAYNFLETE 2, LAKE REGION 1: Lydia Giguere scored from a scrum on the right side of the goal with 7:58 remaining to lift Waynflete (4-1) over Lake Region (2-4) at Naples.

After Ava Farrar scored unassisted for the Flyers in the 11th minute, Lauren Jakobs tied it midway through the half from Madison Simms.

CARRABEC 3, WISCASSET 0: Three players scored to lead Carrabec (3-3) past the Wolverines (1-6) at Wiscasset.

Samantha Lebeau, Bailey Dunphy and Katrina Mason scored, and Kelsey Creamer had two saves for Carrabec.

Maeve Blodgett made 24 saves for Wiscasset.

LISBON 2, MT. ABRAM 1: Alice Cockerham scored for the Roadrunners (1-4-1) in a loss to the Greyhounds (4-3) at Lisbon Falls.

Risa Marble assisted on Cockerham’s goal. Abby Brackley had five saves for Mt. Abram.

Deliah Schrieber scored both goals for Lisbon.

RICHMOND 11, PINE TREE ACADEMY 0: Kelsea Anair had three goals and two assists to lead the Bobcats (6-1) over Pine Tree Academy (1-5) at Richmond.

Caitlin Kendrick, Autumn Acord and Meranda Martin added two goals each.

MARSHWOOD 7, WESTBROOK 0: Marin Smith scored three goals as Marshwood (5-1) defeated the Blue Blazes (1-4-1) at Westbrook.

Emily Robida needed two saves to post the shutout. Kelsey Cavanaugh finished with five saves for Westbrook.

BOYS’ SOCCER

RICHMOND 5, PINE TREE ACADEMY 1: Brady Johnson scored two goals, and Zach Marseglia added a goal and an assist to lead the Bobcats (4-1) over Pine Tree Academy (2-5) at Richmond.

Curtis Anderson and Cody Tribbet also scored for Richmond.

FIELD HOCKEY

LAKE REGION 2, FREEPORT 1: Dessi Berry picked up a rebound after a penalty corner and scored with 2:29 left as Lake Region (5-3) beat Freeport (1-6) at Naples.

The Lakers took a 1-0 lead in the first half on a goal by Paige Davis from Rachel Bell. Alexa Koenig tied it at 10:33 of the second half.

Maddie Nelson made 15 saves for Lake Region. Morgan Karnes finished with 12 for Freeport.

TRAIP ACADEMY 3, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 0: Katie Johnson scored two goals and Amelia Sullivan had another as Traip Academy (6-1) shut out the Seagulls (1-7) at Kittery.

VOLLEYBALL

CHEVERUS 3, BONNY EAGLE 2: Alexis Parsons’ kill in the fifth set ended a marathon match and lifted Cheverus to a victory at Portland.
