Two Biddeford men have been arrested in connection with a rash of burglaries at more than 25 Maine businesses this year.

Michael Warner, 37, and Taylor Schultz, 34, were arrested Friday in an apartment on Granite Street in Biddeford. A third man is also being sought.

Maine State Police made the arrests with help from local, county and federal agencies. The burglaries, which were similar to one another, took place at businesses in southern, midcoast and central Maine, police said.

Warner and Schultz have been charged with possession of stolen property but will face other charges, police said.

About 80 items of evidence, including stolen property and drugs, were seized by police. The total value of the items stolen, as well as damage to the businesses, is estimated at more than $200,000.

Warner and Schultz will appear in court in Portland early next week, police said.
