As a subscriber and daily reader of your newspaper. I was dismayed that there was not a single mention much less a photograph of the Jewish holidays of Rosh Hashanah or Yom Kippur in the paper. At the same time I noticed plenty of coverage of the pope’s visit to this country, which is as it should be. I also saw a photo and caption in last Friday’s paper of Muslims praying during one of their holidays. The article mentioned that there 3,000 Muslims in Maine. There are also 10,000 Jews in Maine. At the very least equal coverage should have been provided.
