For the second year in a row, Tao Yuan executive chef Cara Stadler will partner with local food producers to host several harvest dinners in October and November. Stadler was named one of Food & Wine’s Best New Chefs in 2014 and was a James Beard Foundation finalist this year for Rising Star Chef of the Year. More than twice as many farms are participating as did last year.

Here’s a list of the dinner dates and those who will provide the produce, seafood, meats and cheeses for the meals:

• Oct. 1: Bumbleroot Organic Farm of Buxton and Applegate Deer Farm of West Newfield

• Oct. 15: Six River Farm of Bowdoinham. This meal will be entirely vegetarian.

• Nov. 5: Snell Family Farm of Buxton with Upstream Trucking of Portland

• Nov. 19: Kennebec Cheesery of Sidney with Thirty Acre Farm of Whitefield

The all-vegetarian meal on Oct. 15 costs $48; the other dinners cost $58. Reservations are required. The farmers will attend, and guests will have the opportunity to hear about each farm and ask questions.

Tao Yuan is located at 22 Pleasant St. in Brunswick.
