Pat Leavitt, Windham football: One of two inside linebackers for the Eagles, Leavitt was immense in last Friday night’s 24-14 win over previously unbeaten Thornton Academy. Leavitt finished with three sacks and 12 tackles. Leavitt makes all the defensive calls. He also made several key blocks at tight end that opened holes for the running backs.


Mitch Duncan, Sanford soccer: After scoring two goals, including the winner in overtime in a 3-2 win against Bonny Eagle, Duncan scored four goals with an assist in a 6-0 rout of Noble.

Lucas Rhoy, Biddeford football: Rhoy, a fullback, carried the ball 30 times for 237 yards and three touchdowns as the Tigers won a key game with a 28-13 victory over Westbrook to improve their record to 2-2.

Aaron Lee, Waynflete soccer: Lee scored three goals with two assists in a 6-0 win against Poland as the Flyers (5-2) avoided any letdown after upsetting Yarmouth.


Hashilla Rivai, Thornton Academy golf: Rivai, the defending state schoolgirl champion, shot a 70 at Willowdale Golf Course for medalist honors in the combined SMAA/WMC qualifier for the state tournament.


Alison Clark, Yarmouth volleyball: Clark had seven kills and four aces as the Clippers defeated Mt. Desert Island 25-13, 25-13 and 25-20.

Tori Messina, Yarmouth field hockey: Messina made 21 saves as the Clippers beat Falmouth 2-1 for the first time in 12 years. She also had seven saves in a 0-0 deadlock with Kennebunk.

Kate Breed, Cape Elizabeth soccer: Breed scored both goals on assists from Mariah Deschiano in a 2-1 win against Yarmouth.
