PEORIA, Ariz. — Authorities are investigating the possible shooting of a vehicle on a metro Phoenix freeway.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety says there are reports that someone fired from one vehicle at another on the Loop 101 freeway in the northwest Phoenix suburb of Peoria.

KPHO-TV in Phoenix reports that the vehicle has a hole in the front driver’s side window and two holes in the front passenger’s side window.

Phoenix residents have been rattled by a series of random vehicle shootings on Interstate 10 between Aug. 22 and Sept. 10 involving bullets or projectiles.
