I have known of Ethan Strimling’s work for quite a while – mostly because his work affects the lives of kids just like me when I was a kid.
My immigrant family moved to Portland when I was 5 years old, and Reiche Elementary was my first school.
I was an at-risk child. I am a person of color. I am gay.
Now I have graduated from the University of Southern Maine, and I currently attend the University of Maine School of Law.
A lot of Ethan’s political and nonprofit work has been for at-risk youth, people of color and people in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and gender and sexuality minorities (LGBT+) community.
I support Ethan because I know he will continue the work he is already doing while bringing Portland together.
