Kaytlin DiBiase scored early in the first half and had an assist in the second Friday night to lead Deering to a 2-0 victory against Bonny Eagle in an SMAA field hockey game.

DiBiase opened the scoring for Deering (5-8) with 25:51 left in the first half and later assisted on Mia Thurston’s goal with 14:20 remaining in the game.

Lillian Frager made one save to record the shutout. Ashlyn Wintle stopped 13 shots for the Scots (4-8-1).

SOUTH PORTLAND 6, PORTLAND 1: Amelia Papi had a pair of second-half goals as the Red Riots (3-9) pulled away from the Bulldogs (4-9) at Portland.

Maddie Hasson scored the first goal for South Portland two minutes into the game before Sydney Gilbert tied it from Taylor Sargent 7:26 later.

Bonge Lako and Kelly Doyle each scored from Lydia Henderson in a two-minute span as the Red Riots took a 3-1 halftime lead.

Lako added a second-half goal.

Gianna Gaudet stopped 23 shots for the Bulldogs. Grace Chitam had seven saves for the Red Riots.

GIRLS’ SOCCER

GREELY 4, CAPE ELIZABETH 1: The Rangers (10-0) took a 3-0 halftime lead and cruised past the Capers (6-4) at Cape Elizabeth.

Izzy Hutnak had a pair of first-half goals and Anna DeWolfe scored the other.

Courtney Sullivan scored in the second half for the Rangers. Montana Braxton answered for Cape Elizabeth.

Maddie Cyr had four saves for Greely.

SCARBOROUGH 1, THORNTON ACADEMY 0: Jillian Ware knocked home a rebound of a shot by Gabby Panagakos early in the second half, and the Red Storm (10-0-1) held off the Trojans (5-6) at Saco.

Molly LeComte stopped four shots for the shutout.
