Portland police released no new information Sunday about the condition of the woman and 3-year-old child who were struck Saturday night by a motorist on Auburn Street.
The woman, 34, and the child suffered serious injuries and were transported to Maine Medical Center after the 7:30 p.m. incident. The 55-year-old driver of the sport utility vehicle that struck them was not injured, and a police lieutenant did not know if any charges had been filed in the case.
The two were struck as they crossed Auburn street. The driver of the SUV was heading north at the time of the collision.
No identifying information has been released about either of the victims, or the driver.
Police estimated that no new information would be available until Tuesday.
