Mike Brennan has always been a leader with a genuine focus on service for the benefit and good of all.
Among many efforts to position the city as a healthy, welcoming and economically thriving place to live and work, Mike’s Initiative on Healthy and Sustainable Food promotes essential food security for our region and is helping grow Portland’s local food- and marine-related economy.
I’m grateful that as mayor Mike has revived a spirit of partnership in education with Portland ConnectEd, linking 11 organizations to boost cradle-to-career learning and more readers, more graduates and more Portland citizens with workplace skills and opportunities.
Mike has set a forward-looking tone, acting with courage and determination for values that elevate Portland as a small city with compassion, collective creativity and possibility.
