KENNEBUNK — Table, a new culinary program that highlights Maine and New England’s food industry through various events, now has a home. The space – a former restaurant – is located at 27 Western Ave. and will open this Saturday with an event titled “Of All the Gin Joints… Gin Tasting and Education.” Andrew Volk of the Portland Hunt + Alpine Club is teaching the class.

The new venue has a downstairs barroom to host mixology classes as well as a full kitchen for hands-on cooking classes and demonstrations. Other classes scheduled for this fall include:

n Oct. 24, “Distilled in Maine.” Local expert and author Kate McCarty (“Distilled in Maine”) and David’s KPT beverage director Joel Souza offer part one of a two-part series on the history of drinking in Maine.

n Oct. 31, “Bubbles, Bubbles, Toil and Truffles.” Drink sparkling wine and make truffles with Maggie Battista of Eat Boutique.

n Nov. 14, “Boozy Desserts a la Mode.” Attendees will make sweets with spirits, including Whisky Milkshakes and Cointreau Ganache Brownies.
