The driver of a car involved in a two-vehicle collision that killed a Bethel woman has been arrested on unrelated charges.

After the crash Friday afternoon on Intervale Road in Bethel, Jason Heath, 29, of Bethel was charged with violating bail conditions related to a charge of aggravated trafficking in heroin, and with possession of a small amount of heroin.

Susan Isham, 47, of Bethel was killed in the crash. She was driving a 2012 Chevy Cruze, which collided head-on with a 1997 GMC Yukon operated by Heath. Isham died on impact.

Police said the charges against Heath were unrelated, but they expect additional charges related to the accident to be filed.

Heath is being held at the Oxford County Jail.
