Given your position of refusing to use the name of the Washington NFL team in print, I’m surprised each week to find the Oklahoma University team listed among the Top 25 college teams.

Columnist George Will and others have pointed out that the name “Oklahoma” comes from the Choctaw Indian words for “red” (“okla”) and “men” (“humma”).

In the spirit of consistency, shouldn’t you be using an expression like a “state that borders Texas”?
