HAMPTON, N.H. – A New Hampshire state representative is facing a drunken-driving charge in Maine.

Rep. David Wood, 62, a Republican from Hampton, was arrested Friday night in Gorham and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol.

The first-term New Hampshire House member serves on the House Public Works and Highways Committee.

A message seeking comment from Wood was left Tuesday afternoon.
