KENNEBUNK — Brittney Gregoire scored four goals, and Olivia Sandford added two goals and two assists Tuesday to lead fourth-seeded Kennebunk to an 8-0 victory against fifth-ranked Lake Region in a Class B South field hockey quarterfinal.

Gregoire opened the scoring for the Rams (10-4-1) after 16:39 from Sandford, then scored twice more for a 3-0 halftime lead. She combined with Sandford, Lindsey Gregoire and Katie Ross for five goals in the second half against the Lakers (9-6).

YORK 7, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 1: Devon Datsis, Lily Posternak and Aly Jones each scored twice as the top-ranked Wildcats (15-0) beat eighth-seeded Gray-New Gloucester (8-8) in a Class B South quarterfinal at York.

Ali Martell gave the Patriots a 1-0 lead in the first two minutes with the team’s only shot on goal of the game, but Posternak tied it before Jones put York ahead to stay, scoring on a rebound during a succession of shots on goalie Adrianna Kimball.

Datsis and Sydney Bouchard added goals for a 4-1 halftime lead.

Datsis also had two assists and Posternak one. Kimball finished with 18 saves.

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 1, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 0: Mackenzie Sangster scored with 16 seconds left in sudden death to lift fifth-seeded North Yarmouth Academy (11-4) over the fourth-ranked Falcons (9-6) at Rumford.

Keeley Bartolini got the ball off the long rebound of a Mountain Valley corner and passed ahead to Kiersten Marr behind the defense. Marr bore in alone on goal but as goalie Alyssa Akers came out, slipped the ball to Sangster trailing the play. Sangster swept the ball in to end the game and send the Panthers into a home semifinal against eighth-seeded Lisbon (6-9), which stunned top-ranked Dirigo.

Savannah Shaw, who split time with Bairu Chen in the NYA net in regulation, made five saves in overtime.

GIRLS’ SOCCER

LAKE REGION 5, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 3: Lauren Jakobs scored three goals to lead Lake Region (7-7) past the Seagulls (1-13) at Old Orchard Beach.

Jakobs scored twice, and Emily Greenlee and Maegan Halle answered for Old Orchard in a 2-2 halftime tie. But the Lakers received second-half goals from Jakobs, Neva Leavitt and Kaylyn Jordan while holding the Seagulls to a Sammy Donnell goal.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 2, SACOPEE VALLEY 2: Emma Woods collected one goal and one assist for the Patriots (6-6-2), who erased a 2-1 halftime deficit against the Hawks (13-0-1) at Gray.

Alexa Thayer also scored for the Patriots. Courtney Ryan and Jordan Miner countered for Sacopee Valley.

CHEVERUS 2, MCAULEY 1: Katie Gordon collected a goal and an assist for the Stags (5-7-2), who scored twice in a three-minute stretch of the second half to rally past the visiting Lions (0-14) at Portland.

McAuley opened the scoring after 28:22 on a goal by Catherine Reid. The Stags tied it in the 74th minute when Gordon assisted Mackenzie Johnston. Gordon made it 2-1 from Meg Kelly with 13:16 left.

THORNTON ACADEMY 3, BIDDEFORD 0: Lexi Nason set a Thornton record for career shutouts, making three saves for her 24th shutout as the Trojans (7-7) beat the Tigers (4-10) at Biddeford.

Hannah Niles had an unassisted goal and Barrett Campbell redirected Kerrigan Goudreau’s kick to give Thornton a 2-0 halftime lead. Faith Sinclair scored on a breakaway from Abbey Carignan early in the second half.

SANFORD 3, WESTBROOK 2: Vanessa Hodge and Julia Allen scored early in the second half as the Spartans (10-2-2) built a 3-0 lead and held off the Blue Blazes (2-11-1) at Westbrook.

Summer Camire of Sanford scored with about 14 minutes left in the first half. Janessa Corbett and Mackenzie Rayner scored, both from Alexa Lytham, to pull Westbrook within 3-2 with eight minutes left.

YORK 1, GREELY 0: Maddie Amidon scored early in the second half as the Wildcats (8-3-3) downed Greely (12-2) at York.

Kelsey Cole of York finished with 15 saves. Madison Cyr stopped eight shots for the Rangers.

BOYS’ SOCCER

CAPE ELIZABETH 3, KENNEBUNK 1: Connor Thoreck scored twice, and Wes Parker collected one goal and one assist for the Capers (7-7) against the Rams (4-9-1) at Cape Elizabeth.

The game was 1-1 at halftime, with Thoreck scoring for Cape Elizabeth and Boden Beveridge for Kennebunk.

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 5, POLAND 2: Thomas Pitts scored four goals, all in the second half, to lead the Panthers (10-4) past the Knights (3-10-1) at Yarmouth.

Xander Kostelnik also scored for the Panthers, who were in a 1-1 game at halftime.

GREELY 7, YORK 1: Jacob Nason had five goals and one assist for the Rangers (8-3-3) against the Wildcats (5-7-2) at York.

Henry Melville added one goal and one assist, and Dylan Fried also scored for Greely.

WAYNFLETE 1, FREEPORT 0: Ilyas Abdi headed in a pass from Aaron Lee with three minutes left in the first half and the Flyers (11-2-1) held off the Falcons (4-8-2) at Portland.

Milo Belleau made five saves to record the shutout. Jody Burke finished with eight saves for Freeport.

SOUTH PORTLAND 6, NOBLE 0: Ahmed Suja scored four goals to lead the Red Riots (7-3-4) over the Knights (0-13-1) at South Portland.

Kervens Antoine added a pair of goals for the Red Riots, who led 2-0 at halftime.

SCARBOROUGH 8, WINDHAM 2: Matt Blaisdell scored a pair of goals for the Red Storm (12-0-2) against the Eagles (3-11) at Windham.

Matt Caron added one goal and two assists, and Noah Stracqualursi chipped in one goal and one assist for the Red Storm.

GORHAM 7, MARSHWOOD 0: Sam Burghardt had one goal and one assist, and Jackson Taylor collected three assists for the Rams (12-1-1) against the Hawks (6-5-3) at Gorham.

Erik Andreasen, Jackson Fotter, Thomas Brent, Cody Elliott, Gerek Brown and Kyle King also scored for the Rams, who led 4-0 at halftime.

WESTBROOK 4, SANFORD 0: Orry Nihangame broke a scoreless tie with three minutes left in the first half, Ahmed Hadi added two second-half goals and Jean Marc Lohomboli also scored as Westbrook (5-7-2) pulled away form the Spartans (5-8-1) at Sanford.

D.J. Henrikson had 15 saves for the Blue Blazes. Tylar Burgess made 30 saves for Sanford.

THORNTON ACADEMY 5, BIDDEFORD 0: Simon Tricka scored the first three goals as the Trojans (11-1-2) shut out Biddeford (2-11-1) at Saco.

Stefano Vanotti and Carlos Perez also scored.

BONNY EAGLE 6, MASSABESIC 1: Ryan Moody scored five times and assisted on Kolby Lambert’s goal as the Scots (4-8-2) beat Massabesic (2-12) at Standish.

Aidan Rausch also had an assist for Bonny Eagle. James Davenport scored for the Mustangs.

YARMOUTH 2, FALMOUTH 0: Matthew Dostie and Christopher Pidden scored in the final 24 minutes to lift the Clippers (12-1-1) over the Yachtsmen (10-3-1) at Falmouth.

Cal Owen made a pair of saves to record the shutout. Jack Scribner finished with six saves for Falmouth.

DEERING 1, PORTLAND 0: Matt Alvarez scored on a breakaway 3:29 into the second overtime as visiting Deering (7-5-2) beat the Bulldogs (7-2-5) at Portland.

Orey Dutton had seven saves for the Rams. Bob Brittingham stopped three shots for Portland.

WELLS 8, LAKE REGION 1: Liam Bell scored three goals, and Alec Pinette and Hatim Sharaf added two each as the Warriors (6-6-2) downed the Lakers (0-14) at Wells.

Nick Wuerthner also scored for Wells. Alex Langadas countered for Lake Region.
