University of Maine senior Liz Wood and junior Sigi Koizar earned two of the five spots on the America East basketball preseason all-conference team, the league announced Wednesday.

Maine was picked to finish second, behind Albany, in the America East coaches’ poll. Last winter, Maine and Albany tied for first during the regular season with 14-2 records in conference play. Albany won the league’s postseason tournament and an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.

Wood, a forward, averaged 13.8 points, 7.7 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.7 steals last season. Koizar, a guard, averaged a team-high 14.3 points with 4.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists.

The Black Bears begin the regular season at Harvard on Nov. 13.
